Further reminiscing about Summer fields!

Following my post about the confetti fields in Wick last week, this week I’ve found myself daydreaming about these lovely fields…Somerset Lavender Fields! Based in Faulkland (not far from Frome) these fields are open to the public during the summer months. They grow and harvest lavender for essential oils (the aromatic scent of the place is divine!) and when they open to the public you can enjoy the beautiful sights in full bloom! They have over 20 varieties of lavender (I didn’t know there were were that many!) and it’s quite magical wandering through them all with bees humming away (lots of bees!) and butterflies fluttering by. They also have a cafe on site which offers various lavender goodies, such as lavender ice cream! This is another place I’m hoping to offer to clients for shoots…watch this space!

PEEKABOO!!
